Questions you may have and their answers:
- Why are you hosting a virtual conference for men?
A decision was made months ago to not proceed with our live conferences due to the pandemic and public health restrictions. But we still believe its important to offer something for men across Canada. Live conferences will return in the future.
- Why is it being offered for free?
We know that Churches and individuals are stressed financially. By offering it free, host sites can also offer it free to any attendees. Host sites will not be allowed to charge a fee to attendees.
- Will the quality of the event be poorer because it’s free?
No, we will engage quality speakers, meaningful worship with great musicians, production will be excellent. It will be pre-recorded just prior the event dates as if it’s a live conference, then distributed to host sites.
- Why are only Churches and select organizations allowed to host the presentation?
To ensure that all local and provincial health guidelines are followed. Also, to help Churches to bring the men together physically.
- How many host sites can be in any geographic area?
No limit on how many. Because of seating restrictions, etc., we want as many host sites as possible so every man will have an opportunity to attend and not be refused due to seating limits or other reasons.
- Why can host sites present the event Friday evening or Saturday morning or both?
We want Churches to have options available to them for presentation. They can choose what works best for them to ensure men can attend – either date or both!
- What does a host site require? How do they register?
The above listed event webpage has a “Facility Requirements” link detailing what is needed and a registration module at the bottom. Once registered, host sites will have to complete and submit the “Event Agreement” form also listed on the event webpage.
- How can our Church help?
If your facility has the equipment needed and ample space to accommodate both plenty of men and the local health regulations, committing to be a host site would provide an excellent opportunity in your community for men to attend the event. Your participation would be very helpful to smaller Churches in your area who can not act as host sites because of equipment limitations or other reasons and allow them to actively promote your Church as the go-to local facility.
- What will Promise Keepers Canada | Impactus provide to support us as a host site?
Promise Keepers Canada | Impactus will be extensively promoting the event and local host sites via electronic means, also listing host sites on the event webpage. We also have a staff member who is available to train and/or coach Churches on how to promote the event to the men in their area. In addition, we have over 60 volunteer Leaders across Canada who will be approaching Churches in their area about being a host site.
- Who do we contact if we have any other questions about this event?
Send an email to email@example.com and we will respond as soon as we can.
Please consider being a host facility for this conference, one of many across Canada.
